About the Role
The position of Therapy Business Manager at Abbott presents a unique opportunity to significantly impact the specialty segment of the pharmaceutical industry in Uganda. Key Responsibilities
- You will be tasked with launching assigned brands effectively, ensuring that each launch aligns with the established brand strategy to maximize market penetration.
- Planning and achieving patient therapy enrollment, unit sales, and financial targets will be a primary focus, requiring strategic foresight and execution skills.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with customers and key opinion leaders in your territory will be essential to building brand loyalty and trust.
- Executing compliant medico marketing activities will ensure that all promotional activities adhere to industry regulations while effectively communicating brand benefits.
- Managing distribution channels will involve monitoring services provided to stakeholders, ensuring that product availability and support meet expectations.
- You will also be responsible for recording and reporting market intelligence, providing insights that will inform strategic decisions at the head office.
Requirements & Qualifications
- A minimum of three years’ experience in the specialty segment is highly desirable, demonstrating your ability to navigate complex market dynamics.
- Experience in selling premium pharmaceutical brands is essential, showcasing your ability to position high-value products effectively.
- A degree in Pharmacy (B. Pharm or M. Pharm) or a Master’s in Science (M.Sc.) is preferred, although other graduates with a management qualification will also be considered.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required as you will engage with diverse stakeholders, from healthcare professionals to patients.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans will be critical in achieving long-term business objectives.
