About the Role

C4 Logistics Uganda Ltd is seeking to fill four Store Keeper positions at their Busega depot in Kampala. This role is crucial for ensuring efficient inventory management and smooth warehouse operations, which directly impacts the company’s ability to meet customer demands. As a Store Keeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate stock records and controlling inventory levels, allowing the team to operate seamlessly. In your first few months, you will become familiar with the company’s inventory management systems, learn the layout of the warehouse, and develop relationships with other team members to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• You will oversee daily inventory operations, ensuring that stock levels are accurately maintained and discrepancies are promptly addressed.
• Regularly conduct physical counts of inventory and reconcile them with system records to identify and resolve any discrepancies.
• Manage the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Maintain organized stock records, including tracking item locations and quantities, which will facilitate efficient retrieval and minimize delays.
• Assist in preparing reports on stock levels and inventory turnover, providing data that supports decision-making for procurement and sales efforts.
• Work closely with the procurement team to forecast inventory needs and ensure timely replenishment of stock to prevent shortages.

Requirements & Qualifications

• The ideal candidate will have at least a diploma in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
• Previous experience in inventory management or warehouse operations is highly desirable, ideally with 1-2 years in a similar role.
• Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, is necessary for effective performance.
• Strong attention to detail is critical, as maintaining accurate records and identifying discrepancies is a key aspect of the job.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure will be essential as you manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
