About the Role
The Accounts Relationship Officer position at FINCA International is a vital role focused on enhancing the financial well-being of clients across Uganda. This position is crucial as it directly contributes to the growth of the company’s loan portfolio and the promotion of financial products tailored for diverse customer needs. In the initial months, you will engage with potential clients, helping them understand various loan options such as business, agricultural, and personal loans. You’ll also be involved in marketing initiatives and community outreach, ensuring that FINCA’s services reach those who can benefit most. As you settle into your role, you will develop strategies for customer acquisition and retention, making a meaningful impact in the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Your primary duty will be to market and promote all FINCA products and services to a diverse range of potential clients, ensuring they understand the benefits and processes involved.
- You will be responsible for identifying and targeting potential customers, developing innovative strategies for customer acquisition that align with branch goals and credit policies.
- Growing the deposits and loan portfolio value within your assigned branch will be a key focus, as you work towards meeting established targets.
- As part of your role, you will appraise and prepare comprehensive applications for loan facilities, assessing their creditworthiness in accordance with company policies.
- Monitoring and evaluating the performance of loans will be essential, allowing you to provide insights and recommendations for improvement.
- You will take the initiative to follow up on outstanding loans, employing effective recovery strategies to ensure portfolio quality.
- Organizing client sensitization seminars will be part of your outreach efforts, aimed at educating both existing and potential borrowers about financial products and responsible borrowing.
- Your planning and review efforts will include developing strategies to grow loans, maintain quality control, and submit periodic reports aligned with FINCA Uganda’s lending policies.
Requirements & Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree or diploma in a business-related field from a recognized university or tertiary institution is required for this role.
- Candidates should possess hands-on experience in sales and community mobilization, demonstrating a proven ability to engage with various stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills are essential, enabling you to work effectively in teams and independently while building rapport with clients.
- Fluency in English, along with proficiency in one or two local languages, will enhance your ability to connect with a diverse client base.
- Applicants should have a strong ability to ride a motorcycle, as travel to various duty stations is necessary.
- High levels of analytical and creative skills are expected, along with a professional demeanor to positively represent the company.
