About the Role
This position as a Sales Person at Business Skills Uganda is essential for driving the organization’s mission of empowering entrepreneurs and businesses through strategic guidance and support. In this full-time, on-site role located in Kampala, you will be at the forefront of identifying and engaging potential clients. Your contributions will directly impact the growth of businesses in Uganda by presenting tailored solutions and fostering long-term relationships. During your first few months, you will immerse yourself in our services, learn about our client base, and develop strategies to meet sales targets effectively while collaborating with the marketing and business development teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Your primary responsibility will be to actively identify and target potential clients through various prospecting methods, including networking and cold calling.
- You will conduct engaging presentations and product demonstrations that highlight how Business Skills Uganda’s services can meet client needs and drive business growth.
- As part of your role, preparing detailed and compelling proposals will be essential to effectively communicate the value of our services to prospective clients.
- Negotiating terms and closing sales deals will be a key focus, ensuring that both client satisfaction and company profitability are prioritized.
- You will maintain precise sales records and documentation, providing accurate data for reporting and analysis on sales performance and market trends.
- Following up on leads and client inquiries promptly will help solidify relationships and enhance customer satisfaction, contributing to long-term loyalty.
Requirements & Qualifications
- The ideal candidate should possess strong skills in sales prospecting and client relationship management, demonstrating a capacity to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
- A background in business planning, business development, or consulting environments will greatly enhance your effectiveness in this role.
- Understanding marketing principles and advertising strategies is crucial for effectively promoting Business Skills Uganda’s professional services.
- You must communicate clearly and persuasively in English, both in written and verbal formats, to convey ideas and proposals effectively.
- Previous experience in sales or account management in the Kampala market, or similar environments, will be advantageous in understanding client needs.
- A degree or diploma in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field is preferred to ensure a solid foundational knowledge of the industry.
