About the Role

The Country Manager at GoodWe plays a pivotal role in driving the company’s expansion within the Ugandan solar market. This position is essential as it not only focuses on generating sales but also on establishing and nurturing long-lasting relationships with clients and partners. In the initial months, you will engage in extensive market research, customer visits, and strategic planning alongside the local team. Your efforts will contribute to enhancing the brand’s visibility while positioning GoodWe as a leader in renewable energy solutions in Uganda. Key Responsibilities

  • You will spearhead all sales initiatives in Uganda, focusing on identifying and cultivating relationships with new customers while ensuring existing clients remain satisfied and engaged.
  • Your role will require you to conduct regular visits to customers, collaborating closely with them to devise tailored business and product strategies that drive mutual growth.
  • By leveraging your technical expertise, you will coordinate all necessary technical activities to ensure customer satisfaction and project success, providing solutions that meet their unique needs.
  • You will analyze market trends, competitor actions, and customer feedback, using these insights to develop proactive and reactive strategies that enhance product offerings and expand market reach.
  • Representing GoodWe at various industry events, conferences, and exhibitions will be a key part of your role, allowing you to build valuable networks and enhance the company’s reputation.
  • Driving continuous improvement within the sales organization is critical, and you will work to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness through innovative practices.
  • You will implement and enforce channel policies for partners, mediating any conflicts that arise and ensuring alignment with GoodWe’s strategic goals.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree is required, ideally in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline, providing a solid foundation for understanding the products.
  • You should possess a minimum of 3 years of proven experience in solar product sales specifically within the PV industry, showcasing your ability to thrive in this competitive field.
  • Demonstrated expertise in business development is necessary, accompanied by strong negotiation skills and a track record of successful customer relationship management.
  • Proficiency in English is essential, as effective communication is key to managing diverse clients and stakeholders.
  • Experience in international markets is preferred, along with a global perspective that embraces multicultural environments.
  • A willingness to travel both domestically and internationally is vital, as this role requires frequent engagement with clients and partners.
