As a Bartender at Time Out Market, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional service and creating memorable experiences for our guests. In the initial months, you will familiarize yourself with our menu offerings, learn the operational procedures, and develop rapport with both guests and team members. Key Responsibilities
Your primary task will be to prepare guest checks through the POS terminal, ensuring accurate processing of payments in various forms including cash and credit cards.
You will uphold the procedures for Bartender banks, ensuring all financial transactions are handled accurately and responsibly during your shifts.
Maintaining the cleanliness of the bar area is essential; you will be responsible for keeping the bar top free of dirty glasses, ashtrays, and other waste throughout your shift.
As part of your role, you will ensure the proper rotation of all liquor, beer, wine, and consumable items to maintain freshness and quality.
You will be tasked with setting up and maintaining event spaces, ensuring that they are ready for service and meet the expectations of our guests.
Monitoring guests for signs of intoxication will be critical; you must address any concerns promptly and professionally to ensure a safe environment for all.
Responding to guest inquiries and requests in a courteous manner is essential; you will provide information regarding our venues, menus, and pricing.
Requirements & Qualifications
Previous experience in a bartending or customer service role is preferable, ideally in a fast-paced environment.
A strong understanding of basic mathematical equations will be important for processing payments and managing cash.
You must possess effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to engage positively with staff and guests.
Demonstrating a positive attitude and maintaining composure under pressure are essential traits for success in this role.
Familiarity with safety and health department procedures as well as state and federal liquor laws will be beneficial.
