About the Role
In an era of rapid digital transformation, the role of the Coordinateur/Coordinatrice at Pepps Engineering is pivotal for bridging local expertise with international project teams. This position aims to ensure the successful implementation of a digital project in Uganda, focusing on compliance with national standards and regulations under the guidance of NITA-U. In the initial months, you will engage actively with local stakeholders, facilitate administrative processes, and support the integration of technology solutions tailored to the Ugandan market. Your efforts will not only contribute to the project’s success but also enhance the digital landscape in Uganda.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary local representative for the project, establishing and maintaining communication with institutional stakeholders, particularly NITA-U.
- Ensure that all project activities adhere to the regulatory framework and national standards related to digital technology and cybersecurity.
- Facilitate necessary administrative procedures and approvals with relevant authorities to streamline project execution.
- Apply your IT and digital expertise to support the deployment and integration of solutions that align with local needs.
- Contribute to the assessment of the Ugandan market’s specific needs and technical constraints to tailor solutions effectively.
- Act as a reliable point of contact and advisor throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring smooth collaboration with the team based in Belgium.
Requirements & Qualifications
- You must possess a higher education degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in the IT or digital sector is essential, particularly with projects involving NITA-U.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Ugandan digital ecosystem and regulatory environment is crucial for success in this role.
- Strong communication and coordination skills are necessary to effectively engage with various institutional stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with remote teams, showcasing your autonomy and initiative.
- Professional proficiency in English is required; knowledge of French or Swahili is an added advantage.
