About the Role

The Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Salaam Bank Limited plays a crucial role in safeguarding the bank’s information assets and digital banking infrastructure. Key Responsibilities

• Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction for the cybersecurity initiatives at Salaam Bank, ensuring alignment with the bank’s overall goals.
• Identify and analyze cybersecurity risks across all banking divisions, implementing appropriate measures to mitigate these risks effectively.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to discover potential weaknesses in the bank’s security posture.
• Oversee the operation of the Security Operations Centre (SOC), ensuring that security incidents are monitored, managed, and responded to promptly.
• Develop and enforce policies for identity and access management (IAM), ensuring that only authorized personnel have access to sensitive information.
• Coordinate and lead incident response efforts in the event of a security breach, including the execution of disaster recovery plans to minimize impact.

Requirements & Qualifications

• A minimum of five years of experience in a senior cybersecurity leadership role, preferably within the financial services sector.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing effective cybersecurity strategies that align with regulatory standards.
• Strong understanding of national and international banking regulations related to data protection and information security.
• Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and engage with senior stakeholders effectively.
• In-depth knowledge of threat assessment methodologies, security architectures, and the latest cybersecurity trends and technologies.
