About the Role
This position seeks an experienced Ugandan Lands Professional skilled in land registry research and documentation retrieval. The role is pivotal in supporting a time-sensitive project aimed at compiling historical land records and ownership details for a specific property in Uganda. In the initial weeks, you will familiarize yourself with the necessary property information and start gathering relevant records from the Land Registry. The work you do will contribute significantly to establishing a clear historical narrative of property ownership, assisting stakeholders in understanding land rights and ownership transitions.
Key Responsibilities
- You will conduct thorough research on current and historical title and registration records to identify relevant ownership documentation.
- Your role will require interpreting and analyzing historical instruments and applications associated with changes in registered ownership.
- Documenting changes in how ownership interests were recorded will be a critical aspect of your tasks.
- You will investigate records concerning any previous alterations or removals of registered ownership interests, including the necessary applications and supporting documentation.
- Gathering available Registry transaction histories, audit records, and endorsements will help create a comprehensive report.
- Your final deliverable will include a digital report summarizing your findings and digital copies of all relevant documents that can be lawfully shared.
