About the Role

The Senior Data Analyst at Pearl Bank Uganda plays a pivotal role in enhancing the Wallet business through data-driven insights and performance reporting. This position is crucial for identifying trends that can lead to increased user engagement and revenue growth. In the initial months, the analyst will focus on understanding customer behavior, analyzing transaction data, and developing performance dashboards that inform strategic decisions. Key Responsibilities

• The analyst will conduct in-depth performance analysis of the wallet service, tracking metrics such as user acquisition, activation, and transaction volumes to identify growth opportunities.
• Developing customer segments based on behavioral insights and transaction patterns will be essential for informing targeted marketing campaigns and product enhancements.
• Utilizing predictive analytics, the analyst will create models to forecast customer behaviors, such as churn and lifetime value, translating these insights into actionable business strategies.
• The role involves designing and evaluating A/B tests to assess the impact of new features and promotions, identifying drop-off points in the customer journey for continuous improvement.
• Forecasting key metrics like transaction volumes and revenue will support the business’s planning and growth initiatives, ensuring effective liquidity management.
• The analyst will play a key role in fraud detection by analyzing transaction patterns and developing models to identify irregularities, thereby enhancing security measures.
• Creating automated reports and dashboards will provide stakeholders with timely insights into wallet performance, aiding in strategic decision-making.
• Collaborating with the Business Technology team, the analyst will validate data quality and resolve discrepancies to maintain high integrity in reporting.
• Monitoring service performance, including transaction failures and customer complaints, will help identify gaps in service delivery and propose actionable improvements.

Requirements & Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field is essential for this role.
• At least 3-5 years of experience in data analysis or a similar role, preferably within the financial services or fintech sector.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI is crucial for creating impactful dashboards.
• Strong analytical skills, with expertise in statistical modeling and predictive analytics techniques, are required to drive insights from complex data sets.
• Excellent communication skills to present findings clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
