About the Role

The Dispatch Clerk position at Twyford International plays a crucial role in the efficient management of warehouse operations, specifically in the handling of tiles and sanitary ware. In the first few months, you will become familiar with the warehouse layout, establish relationships with team members, and develop a keen eye for detail in stock management. Key Responsibilities

  • You will begin by receiving and verifying approved stock requests, ensuring that all documentation, such as picking lists and delivery orders, is accurate before proceeding with the issuance of products.
  • Your role will involve carefully picking and issuing the correct product codes, descriptions, and quantities, thus ensuring that customer orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently.
  • Before issuing tiles and sanitary ware, you will conduct thorough checks to confirm their condition, ensuring that only quality products leave the warehouse.
  • Documentation is key; you will be responsible for properly documenting all issued products to maintain accurate stock records.
  • Handling products with care will be a significant part of your daily routine, as you’ll be required to minimize breakage and other forms of damage to fragile items.
  • You will assist in stock accuracy by recording all issued stock promptly and participating in regular stock counts and inventory reconciliation exercises to identify discrepancies.
  • Coordination is vital; you will work closely with different departments, including Warehouse Documentation and Transport, to ensure all required documents are completed before products leave the warehouse.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • A Certificate or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Warehouse Operations, or a related field is essential for this role.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in warehouse operations, stock issuing, or inventory control is required to ensure you can handle the responsibilities effectively.
  • Experience handling tiles, sanitary ware, or similar building materials is advantageous and will help you in managing delicate items.
  • Basic computer skills are necessary to manage stock records and documentation accurately.
  • Attention to detail, strong numerical skills, and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment are crucial for success in this role.
