About the Role

The Africa Digital Youth Training Hub is looking for a proactive and strategic Financial Controller / Senior Finance Manager / Head of Finance to spearhead its financial operations. This critical role is designed to strengthen the organization’s financial governance and support executive decision-making through precise reporting and strategic planning. In the first few months, you will immerse yourself in understanding the organization’s financial landscape, collaborating closely with various teams to establish effective financial management practices. Your expertise will not only help in budgeting and forecasting but also in optimizing financial resources to drive sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

• You will lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring they align with the organization’s strategic objectives and operational needs.
• Overseeing the preparation and presentation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports will be a key responsibility, providing insights into the organization’s financial health.
• Monitoring cash flow and managing financial controls will be critical to maintaining the organization’s liquidity and operational efficiency.
• Your role will involve reviewing financial statements and conducting profitability analyses to ensure accurate and timely financial data that supports decision-making.
• Additionally, you will develop financial models and key performance indicators to monitor organizational performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Coordinating audits and ensuring compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and corporate governance principles will be essential to uphold the organization’s integrity.

Requirements & Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required, with a Master’s degree or professional certification (CPA/ACCA) being highly desirable.
• You should have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in financial management, preferably in a leadership role.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data into actionable insights are essential for this position.
• Experience with financial planning software and ERP systems will be a significant advantage in managing the organization’s financial processes.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills are necessary to effectively collaborate with various teams and stakeholders across the organization.
