Safari Share is on the lookout for enthusiastic Field Representatives to expand its presence in Kampala. This role is pivotal in engaging with local communities, gathering valuable market data, and enhancing brand visibility across neighborhoods. In the initial months, you will immerse yourself in community interactions, learning how to effectively communicate and gather insights that influence product offerings. By being the face of Safari Share, you will help shape the company’s strategies while building meaningful relationships with residents and businesses alike.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct face-to-face interviews with household members and representatives of small businesses to collect detailed information on consumer preferences and feedback regarding Safari Share’s products and services.
Utilize mobile devices to accurately record data, ensuring that all entries are verified and submitted in a timely manner to the supervising team via WhatsApp at the end of each work shift.
Distribute promotional materials and product samples, clearly explaining the benefits of offerings while addressing any questions or concerns raised by potential customers in your designated areas.
Stay updated on all Safari Share services, communicating any changes or new offerings to clients during your visits, and capturing client suggestions that may lead to future product enhancements.
Identify and relay new sales opportunities to the marketing team, assisting in the planning of localized promotions that cater to community needs and seasonal trends.
Adhere to company policies and local regulations while performing duties, ensuring compliance with health and safety guidelines, and promptly reporting any incidents to the field supervisor.
Requirements & Qualifications
Fluency in English alongside at least one local language such as Luganda, Runyankore, or Lusoga, which enables effective communication during community interactions.
Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills, allowing you to confidently approach strangers, quickly build rapport, and engage in respectful dialogue with community members.
Basic proficiency in using smartphones for data entry, including utilizing WhatsApp for reporting, navigating mapping applications, and capturing necessary photos or documentation.
A proactive attitude and a strong work ethic, essential for thriving in a field-based role that requires independent motivation and initiative.
Prior experience in community engagement, sales, or market research would be an advantage but is not mandatory.
