About the Role

The QSSU-FLIP-SAM-SALES ACCOUNT MANAGER position at Q-Sourcing Limited is pivotal for driving sales in the energy sector across the Kampala region. As the representative for our client, you will focus on building strong relationships with construction and industrial clients, ensuring their needs are met through our offerings. In your first few months, you will engage directly with customers on-site, demonstrating products and fostering connections that will lead to repeat business. This role is essential for expanding market share and enhancing the client’s presence within a competitive landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for achieving sales targets within your designated territory and consistently monitoring your performance against agreed monthly and quarterly goals.
  • Developing comprehensive account plans will be crucial as you work to convert one-time buyers into loyal, long-term clients.
  • Maintaining regular contact with both existing and prospective customers will help you expand the customer base and grow overall sales.
  • Building relationships with key stakeholders at various levels, from site foremen to project managers, will be essential for understanding their needs and promoting our products effectively.
  • You will conduct on-site product demonstrations and customer training sessions, showcasing how our tools can enhance their operations.
  • Providing technical support related to anchoring, fastening, and installation systems will position our services as a valuable part of the overall customer experience.
  • Monitoring competitor activities, pricing strategies, and project developments will allow you to adjust your sales tactics accordingly and report findings back to the country team.
  • Keeping accurate records of customer visits, sales opportunities, and forecasts in the CRM system is vital for tracking your progress and supporting accounts receivable efforts in your portfolio.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • A diploma or bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is required for this position.
  • You should have 1–3 years of field sales experience, ideally in a target-driven role related to construction or industrial technical products.
  • A valid Ugandan driving license is mandatory, along with a willingness to travel throughout the territory on a daily basis.
  • The role requires physical capability to work on active sites, including navigating uneven ground and scaffolding, while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Fluency in English is essential, and proficiency in Luganda and/or Swahili will be considered a significant advantage.
  • Competence with CRM tools and MS Office software is vital for managing customer interactions and sales data efficiently.
