The Speelcombi position at Speelpracht is integral to creating dynamic play environments for children. This role focuses on the design and implementation of innovative playground equipment that promotes physical activity and social interaction among kids. Over the first few months, you will engage in various tasks from product development to site management, ensuring each play structure meets safety standards and enhances outdoor play experiences. You will work closely with a team dedicated to enriching children’s lives through play, making your contributions vital to community engagement and child development.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop play structures that encourage climbing, sliding, and exploration, ensuring they cater to various age groups and abilities.
Conduct thorough safety inspections of playground equipment to ensure compliance with local safety regulations and standards.
Work collaboratively with engineers and designers to refine product specifications and enhance the play value of each structure.
Manage the installation process of playground equipment, coordinating with contractors and ensuring timely completion of projects.
Engage with community stakeholders to gather feedback on play structures, using insights to inform future designs.
Maintain detailed documentation of project specifications, safety certifications, and maintenance records for all installed equipment.
Requirements & Qualifications
A degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is preferred, with experience in playground design or construction management being advantageous.
Strong understanding of safety standards and regulations concerning playground equipment and public play areas.
Excellent project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD or similar tools to create detailed plans and specifications.
Effective communication skills to liaise with team members, contractors, and community members, fostering a collaborative work environment.
