Feedback Infra looking for experienced Infrastructure / Transport / Highway / Bridge / Drainage professionals for an upcoming project in Uganda – West Nile Region.

Project: Feasibility Study for the DUCAR Network, Bridges and Drainage Structures covering 12 District Local Governments in the West Nile Region of Uganda, including Adjumani, Arua, Koboko, Madi Okollo, Maracha, Moyo, Nebbi, Obongi, Pakwach, Terego, Yumbe and Zombo.

We are particularly looking for professionals with relevant experience in feasibility studies, highways/roads, bridges, drainage, transportation infrastructure, project management and consulting.

  • Team Leader / Senior Highway Engineer (1 no)

Master’s degree in civil engineering or a related field; a qualified, chartered or registered civil engineer with a degree in civil engineering or equivalent; at least 15 years’ experience in highway or rural roads design and

construction supervision, of which at least 10 years as Team Leader on at least 4 assignments of similar nature, value and complexity; demonstrated experience in tender and contract documentation and management, experience in East Africa is an advantage.

  • Highway Design Engineer (2 nos)

A qualified, chartered or registered civil engineer with a degree in civil engineering or equivalent; at least 5 years’ experience in highway or rural roads design, of which at least 2 years as lead designer on at least 2 assignments of similar nature, value and complexity; demonstrated experience with low volume sealed road design methods.

  • Soils, Materials and Pavement Engineer (2 nos)

A qualified, chartered or registered civil engineer with a degree in civil engineering or equivalent; at least 5 years’ experience in geotechnical and materials investigations, of which at least 2 years as lead engineer on at least 2 assignments of similar nature, value and complexity.

  • Bridge / Structural Engineer (2 nos)

Master’s degree in civil or structural engineering; a qualified, chartered or registered civil engineer; at least 5 years’ experience in structural design, of which at least 2 years as lead engineer on at least 2 assignments of similar nature, value and complexity; demonstrated experience with Eurocode-based bridge design

  • Transport Economist (1 no)

Master’s degree in transport economics, transport planning or civil engineering; bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, economics or transport planning; at least 15 years’ experience in road asset management and planning; familiarity with traffic patterns in developing countries and proficiency in HDM-4, RED or RONET; proficiency in the producer surplus approach is an advantage.

  • Hydrologist / Hydraulics Engineer (1 no)

A qualified, chartered or registered civil engineer with a degree in civil engineering or equivalent; at least 5 years’ experience in hydrological and hydraulic analysis and reporting, of which at least 2 years as lead engineer on at least 2 assignments of similar nature, value and complexity; proficiency in HEC-RAS and HY-8.

  • Surveyor (1 no)

Bachelor’s degree in land surveying or geomatics, with a master’s degree an advantage; registered surveyor; at least 5 years’ experience in surveying, which at least 2 years as lead surveyor on at least 2 assignments of similar nature, vaiue and complexity; proficiency in GNSS and GIS.

  • Environmental Specialist (1 no)

Bachelor’s degree in environmental management or a related physical or social science discipline, registered with the appropriate environmental body in Uganda; at least 5 years’ experience in environmental management, of which at least 2 years as lead environmental specialist on at least 2 assignments of similar nature, value and complexity; familiarity with the World Bank, Environmental and Social Framework.

  • Sociologist / Social Safeguards Specialist (1 no)

Bachelor’s degree in sociology, economics, psychology or a related social science; at least 5 years’ experience in social development or safeguards, of which at least 2 years as lead social specialist on at least 2 assignments of similar nature, value and complexity; demonstrated experience with GBV and SEA risk assessment.

  • Quantity Surveyor / Cost Estimator (1)

A qualified, chartered or registered quantity surveyor or cost-estimating civil engineer with a degree in quantity surveying or civil engineering or equivalent; at least 5 years’ experience in the cost estimation of road infrastructure, of which at least 2 years as lead quantity surveyor on at least 2 assignments of similar nature, value and complexity.
