About the Role
The position of Manager Clinical Operations at Thermo Fisher Scientific is pivotal in driving the success of clinical trials across EMEA. This role exists to ensure that operations are efficient and that staff are adequately trained and supported. You will lead a team of clinical operations professionals, focusing on performance metrics and compliance with company standards. In the initial months, you will be immersed in understanding current operations, assessing training needs, and establishing performance benchmarks to enhance team effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- You will manage a diverse team, providing essential coaching and mentorship to foster professional growth and development.
- Conducting regular performance evaluations and facilitating career development discussions will be central to your responsibilities.
- Your role involves overseeing the induction and orientation programs for new employees, ensuring they are well-integrated into the company culture.
- Maintaining up-to-date training records and staff profiles will be critical to ensuring compliance and operational efficiency.
- You will support local resourcing processes and ensure that project leads have the necessary resources to meet project deliverables.
- Delivering training on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and identifying training gaps will help to maintain high operational standards.
- Monitoring adherence to ethical and regulatory standards will be part of your oversight responsibilities.
- Engaging with quality assurance audits will ensure that both client and internal standards are met and maintained.
Requirements & Qualifications
- A degree in life sciences, clinical research, or a related field is essential for understanding clinical operations.
- At least 5 years of experience in clinical operations or project management is preferred, demonstrating leadership capabilities.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and clinical trial processes is crucial for ensuring adherence to industry standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for effective team management and collaboration.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools will enable you to manage project timelines and deliverables efficiently.
