About the Role

The Global Campus Professor position at the University of Arizona Global Campus (UAGC) is dedicated to fostering exceptional educational experiences and supporting student success in an online learning environment. This role is vital in ensuring that adult learners receive high-quality instruction and mentorship, helping them navigate their academic journeys while bridging the gap between education and workforce readiness. In your first few months, you will engage with students through asynchronous courses, develop innovative teaching materials, and collaborate with fellow faculty members to enhance the curriculum, all while maintaining the institution’s commitment to a Culture of Care.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and effective online instruction, ensuring that courses are aligned with current workforce skills and professional development opportunities.
• Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment that encourages adult learners to achieve their educational and personal goals.
• Prioritize student success by providing timely and constructive feedback, maintaining open lines of communication, and addressing student inquiries promptly.
• Collaborate with academic support teams to enhance the overall student experience and improve learning outcomes.
• Lead the continuous development of course materials, including texts, multimedia resources, and assessment tools, to keep the curriculum relevant and engaging.
• Mentor and support associate faculty, ensuring high instructional quality and continuous improvement in teaching practices.

Requirements & Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in a relevant field is required, with a preference for candidates holding a doctorate.
• Experience in teaching at the undergraduate or graduate level, particularly in an online learning setting.
• Strong understanding of effective pedagogical strategies and assessment practices for adult learners.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster effective relationships with students and colleagues.
• Ability to collaborate with diverse teams and departments to enhance academic programs and student support services.
