Systems Engineer (Enterprise Applications Support)

About the Role

The Systems Engineer for Enterprise Applications Support plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of software applications within PSI CRO AG, a leading Contract Research Organization. This position is vital as it bridges the gap between technology and clinical research, enabling teams to utilize software solutions effectively. In the first few months, you will undergo an intensive induction program, followed by hands-on experience in installing and supporting specialized systems, which will help you develop a comprehensive understanding of the organization’s software environment.

Key Responsibilities

• You will provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for off-the-shelf software packages, ensuring that users can effectively utilize these tools for their daily tasks.
• Installation of Tier 3 and certain Tier 4 information systems will be part of your role, along with conducting user training to facilitate smooth transitions for new software.
• Your responsibilities will include monitoring software updates and new releases, advising on necessary migrations to keep the organization’s systems current and efficient.
• Following the release of new software that may benefit the company, you will be tasked with recommending its purchase after thorough evaluation.
• Updating validation statuses in accordance with CFR 21 Part 11 will ensure compliance and proper documentation of the information systems used.
• You will conduct regular technical audits across various departments to check compliance with PSI standards regarding the usage of specialized equipment and Tier 3-4 systems.

Requirements & Qualifications

• A University or College degree specializing in Computer Science or IT is essential for this role.
• A solid technical background is required to address and resolve complex software issues effectively.
• Experience in supporting business applications, software platforms, or enterprise systems is a must for understanding user needs.
• Proficiency in creating SQL queries will be beneficial for troubleshooting and data management tasks.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills are necessary for effective interaction with team members and stakeholders.
