The Government of Uganda through the Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development invites applications for 700 Graduate Volunteer opportunities under the National Apprenticeship Programme (NAP). The programme targets recent graduates seeking practical work experience while contributing to public and private institutions.

The initiative addresses youth unemploment, underemployment, skills mismatches, and the lack of workplace exposure among graduate. It enables unemployment graduates to acquire valuable skills while contributing to national development through volunteer placements in both public and private  institutions.

Eligibility Creteria

Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Hold at least a Certificate from a Tartiary Institution, or Diploma or Honours Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification) from a recognised Institution:
  • Have graduated within the last five years (2021 to date).
  • Be between 18 and 35 years of age at the time of application.
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in diverse teams and with stakeholders.
  • Exhibit integrity, accountability and ethical conduct, with willingness to learn and adapt to proffessional settings; and.
  • Posses basic proficiency in Microsoft office applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint). Familiarity with digital collaboration platforms (e.g Google workspace, Zoom, Teams) will be an added advantage.

Visit the A-MIS website

  1. Open your browser and go to agvp.mis – this is the AGVP Management system home page
  2. On the home page, locate and click register as a Graduate Volunteer button to begin your application, find this button on the home page.
  3. Enter your email and create password. Provide a valid email address you have access to, then create a secure password. Make sure to remember both for future logins. Use a personal email address you check regurlarly and choose a strong password with a mix of letters, numbers and symbols
  4. Click submit to receive a comfirmation email. A comfirmaion email will be sent immediately to your inbox. check your inbox (and spam folder) after clicking submit
  5. Open comfirmation email and click the link. Find the email from AGVP-MIS in your inbox, click the activation link inside – it will take you directly to the login page. The link may expire – use it promptly and If you do not see the email within 5 minutes, check your spam/junk folder.
  6. Log in with your credentials. On the login page, enter your email address and the password you created in Step 3 to access your applicant dashboard. Use the same email and password from Step 3
  7. Fill in your personal details. Complete the registration form with your full personal information. Ensure all fields marked as mandatory (*) are filled in accurately. Fill in all fields — mandatory ones are marked *
  8. Attach your documents. Upload your academic documentsresume/CV, and any other supporting materials required. Use accepted file formats (PDF, JPG, PNG). Attach: academic certificates, CV, and other relevant documents and ensure files are clear and legible. Maximum file size limits may apply.
  9. Review your details on the preview page. A preview page will appear showing all your submitted information. Review everything carefully – the system will only accept your submission if all mandatory fields are completed. Check every section before proceeding, any missing mandatory field will block your submission. Go back and complete them.
  10. Click ‘Submit’ to complete registration. Once satisfied with your preview, click ‘Submit’ to finalise your application. You will receive a notification confirming receipt. Your application is now submitted!
