About the Role

The Supply Chain Manager at Cloudpeak Corporation plays a pivotal role in ensuring that the organization’s supply chain operations are not only efficient but also strategically aligned with the company’s goals. This position is crucial for overseeing a seamless flow of goods and services, from procurement through to distribution. In the initial months, the new manager will immerse themselves in understanding the company’s current supply chain processes, establish relationships with key suppliers, and begin to analyze existing operational efficiencies. This role is essential in driving cost-effective solutions that enhance the overall performance of the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement innovative supply chain strategies that directly support the organization’s strategic objectives and enhance overall operational efficiency.
• Administer all procurement and sourcing activities, ensuring that the logistics, warehousing, inventory management, and distribution processes are executed effectively.
• Foster and maintain robust relationships with suppliers, vendors, and service providers to enhance collaboration and ensure reliability in supply.
• Conduct thorough evaluations and negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms and assess their performance regularly to drive quality improvements.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels proactively to guarantee optimal stock availability while simultaneously minimizing holding costs, thus optimizing cash flow.
• Develop accurate demand forecasts and collaborate closely with production teams to ensure that supply planning meets the dynamic business requirements.
• Oversee logistics and transportation operations to ensure that deliveries are made on time and within budget, thereby enhancing customer satisfaction.
• Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess supply chain performance and identify areas for continuous improvement.
• Identify cost-reduction opportunities across procurement and logistics to enhance the organization’s profitability and efficiency.
• Ensure strict compliance with procurement policies, ensuring that all contracts and quality standards are adhered to while meeting regulatory requirements.
• Manage potential supply chain risks by developing contingency plans and mitigation strategies to safeguard operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance and operations, to enhance the supply chain’s overall efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements & Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is required, while a Master’s degree is an advantage.
• Proven experience in supply chain management, logistics, or procurement, typically requiring a minimum of 5 years in a similar role.
• Strong negotiation skills paired with a strategic mindset to effectively manage supplier relationships and procurement processes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proficiency in supply chain software and data analysis tools.
