About the Role

The Business Analyst role at City IT is pivotal in driving significant organizational transformation through effective integration strategies. As a member of the Integration Team, you will act as a vital conduit between business requirements and technical solutions, ensuring that the development teams receive clear and actionable tasks. Your work will directly contribute to the modernization of legacy systems and the enhancement of digital capabilities, creating a more efficient environment for employees. In the first few months, you will engage with various stakeholders to understand their needs, analyze existing processes, and begin to shape actionable strategies that align with corporate goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and scope business initiatives that yield measurable benefits, ensuring all needs are appropriately addressed.
  • Gather, validate, and analyze requirements to ensure they align with the overarching business goals, facilitating effective communication between teams.
  • Model and assess business processes to identify areas for improvement, ultimately driving efficiency across different departments.
  • Work closely with development teams to manage a well-structured backlog of user stories, removing any obstacles that hinder progress.
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships throughout the organization to promote informed decision-making and consensus on project priorities.
  • Enhance the Business Analysis community within the organization, contributing to best practices and ongoing professional development initiatives.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst, ideally within Agile or Scrum environments, showcasing your ability to adapt to dynamic project needs.
  • Exceptional communication and facilitation skills are crucial for effective stakeholder management and collaboration.
  • Proficiency in creating user stories and documenting workflows to ensure clarity and direction for development teams.
  • Familiarity with data formats like JSON, CSV, and XML, along with a basic understanding of cloud technologies such as AWS.
  • Ability to perform gap analyses and support process improvement initiatives, demonstrating a proactive approach to problem-solving.
