About the Role

The Technical Writer position at YO AI Labs is a remote role that focuses on developing and maintaining comprehensive documentation for AI-related projects. In the first few months, you will familiarize yourself with existing documentation practices and contribute to the development of user-friendly content tailored for developers and product teams. You will engage with cross-functional teams to gather information, ensuring documentation is accurate and informative.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and edit various forms of technical documentation, including developer guides, API references, and product manuals, to support users effectively.
• Simplify intricate technical concepts, making them understandable for diverse audiences ranging from developers to non-technical stakeholders.
• Organize and structure documentation in accordance with best practices in information architecture to enhance user navigation and comprehension.
• Implement docs-as-code workflows, applying style guidelines to maintain consistency and quality throughout all documentation.
• Conduct thorough reviews of documentation to ensure accuracy, clarity, and completeness, thus improving the user experience.
• Provide constructive feedback and recommendations for improving existing documentation, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the team.

Requirements & Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in technical writing or documentation, demonstrating proficiency in creating clear and concise technical content.
• Exceptional written English skills, with a strong focus on editing and ensuring high-quality documentation.
• Familiarity with Markdown and Git, as these tools are essential for managing documentation workflows in a collaborative environment.
• Proven ability to synthesize complex information and present it in a logical and accessible manner through effective technical communication.
• Strong attention to detail, ensuring that all documentation is free from errors and meets established quality standards.
