About the Role
The Credit Department at KCB Group is seeking a dedicated MIS and Reporting Officer to enhance our reporting capabilities and support decision-making processes. This role is crucial as it directly impacts the management of credit portfolios and risk assessment, ensuring that the bank operates efficiently and in compliance with regulatory requirements. In your first few months, you will familiarize yourself with our existing systems, generate key reports, and collaborate with various departments to refine reporting processes. Your contributions will help identify trends and improve the overall performance of our credit operations.
Key Responsibilities
- You will generate the provisions report and submit it to management in a timely manner, ensuring that critical insights are readily available for decision-making.
- The design, development, and maintenance of Management Information System (MIS) reports for the Credit Department will be your responsibility, focusing on accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
- Regularly providing reports on credit portfolio performance, delinquency trends, and risk exposure will be essential in informing management decisions.
- Your analytical skills will be put to the test as you identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement in credit data, directly impacting operational strategies.
- Developing and maintaining dashboards that track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the credit portfolio will help visualize data and enhance reporting clarity.
- Identifying potential credit risks and recommending mitigation strategies will be a crucial part of your role to safeguard the bank’s financial health.
- You will ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to credit reporting and data submission, thus maintaining the bank’s integrity.
- Monitoring data integrity and rectifying any irregularities you identify will enhance the reliability of the reports generated.
- Preparation of weekly, monthly, and quarterly Bank of Uganda (BOU) reports will be your responsibility, ensuring timely submission to the Central Bank.
- Collaboration with various departments to gather requirements will be necessary to deliver high-quality reports and analyses that meet the organization’s needs.
Requirements & Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Commerce, Statistics, or a related field is required for this position.
- Candidates should have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in MIS reporting and data analysis, preferably within the banking sector.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, enabling you to make data-driven recommendations.
- Proficiency in MIS tools and databases, such as SQL, along with data analysis software like Excel, Tableau, or Power BI, is expected.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills will be necessary to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines is crucial in this fast-paced environment.
