About the Role

The Human Resources Specialist role at Crowe Uganda is integral to enhancing the employee experience within the organization. In the initial months, you will immerse yourself in the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment to performance management, ensuring seamless operations while building relationships with both employees and managers. Key Responsibilities

  • You will oversee the complete recruitment process, which involves crafting job postings, screening candidates, conducting interviews, and making selection recommendations to ensure the best fit for the company.
  • In collaboration with department heads, you will assess staffing needs and strategically prepare employment offers, contracts, and necessary onboarding documents for new hires.
  • As part of your onboarding duties, you will facilitate HR inductions, ensuring new employees are familiarized with company policies and procedures, which aids in their smooth transition.
  • Your role will require you to maintain organized and confidential employee records, managing contracts, leave, attendance, and other vital HR documentation efficiently.
  • You will coordinate the performance management process by supporting managers with goal setting and tracking performance reviews, ensuring evaluations are completed on time.
  • Additionally, you will identify employee training needs, coordinate development programs, and maintain training records to foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is essential for this role, providing a solid foundation for HR practices.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in a human resources role is typically expected, with a focus on recruitment and employee relations.
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite is necessary to manage documentation and reporting effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills will be vital, as you will be interacting with employees at all levels and addressing various workplace issues.
  • Confidentiality and professionalism are paramount, requiring you to handle sensitive employee information with discretion and integrity.
