About the Role
The Power Plant Superintendent position at Amentum plays a critical role in maintaining the operational integrity and safety of power generation for a unique US Navy program on Diego Garcia. This position is essential for ensuring that power supply remains reliable, efficient, and meets all safety standards. In the first few months, you will familiarize yourself with the power plant’s operations, oversee the team, and develop strategies to enhance efficiency while managing technical challenges. Key Responsibilities
- You will supervise the operation of three-phase/60 Hz diesel engine-driven generators, ensuring they operate efficiently and reliably at a minimum of 1,000 kW capacity.
- Your role involves monitoring power plant operations to guarantee adherence to safety standards and operational protocols, ultimately ensuring the safety of the team and facility.
- Directing and assigning tasks to power plant personnel will be essential for meeting operational and maintenance schedules effectively.

Requirements & Qualifications
- A minimum of three years of documented experience operating three-phase/60 Hz diesel engine-driven generators rated at a minimum of 1,000 kW is required.
- Proven knowledge of power plant operations and maintenance, particularly with diesel-driven generators and their associated power distribution systems, is essential for success in this role.
