Key Responsibilities
You will conduct scheduled preventative maintenance tasks in guest rooms and public spaces, including inspecting and flipping mattresses to ensure guest comfort.
Regularly vacuuming behind and beneath furniture, as well as spot cleaning carpets and upholstery, will be part of your daily responsibilities.
Ensuring that all necessary hardware and appliances in guest rooms are present and in working order is critical to maintaining a high standard of service.
You will perform minor repairs such as tightening loose toilet seats, changing light bulbs, and patching holes in walls to uphold the property’s appearance and functionality.
Cleaning all guestroom surfaces, which includes tubs, wall tiles, hard floors, and mirrors, will help maintain Marriott’s reputation for cleanliness.
It will be your duty to report any significant maintenance problems or safety hazards immediately to your supervisor, ensuring a safe environment for both guests and staff.
Requirements & Qualifications
A high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required for this position.
While less than one year of related work experience is preferred, a willingness to learn and adapt is essential.
No supervisory experience is required, making this an excellent entry-level opportunity for those beginning their careers in hospitality maintenance.
Familiarity with basic repair tools and techniques will be beneficial as you perform routine maintenance tasks.
