About the Role

The Employee Experience Advisor (Occupational Health) at Uganda Breweries Limited plays a critical role in ensuring that employees receive the best possible support regarding their health and wellbeing. This position is essential for fostering a positive work environment where employees feel valued and safe. In the first few months, you will be involved in onboarding new employees, managing employee records, and collaborating with various stakeholders to implement health initiatives. Your efforts will directly contribute to enhancing employee satisfaction and productivity, making this role pivotal within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the preparation and dissemination of onboarding announcements to ensure new employees are welcomed effectively before their start date at Uganda Breweries.
  • Deliver engaging induction sessions for new staff, thoroughly explaining employee benefits, including health schemes and retirement plans, to ensure clarity and understanding.
  • Maintain accurate employee records across both physical and electronic formats, ensuring compliance with data management standards and timely offboarding of exited staff.
  • Implement the annual Occupational Health plan in collaboration with the Occupational Health Physician, promoting employee health and wellbeing initiatives throughout the organization.
  • Schedule and facilitate regular review meetings with medical scheme providers to evaluate service delivery, resolve any issues, and foster continuous improvement in health services.
  • Oversee the onsite clinic operations by working closely with the clinic administrator to ensure quality healthcare services are accessible to all employees.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Administration is required for this role, with a postgraduate diploma in HR considered an added advantage.
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar HR role, preferably with a focus on employee health and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills are necessary to build trusting relationships with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong organizational and administrative capabilities are essential for managing various HR systems and processes efficiently.
  • A working knowledge of HR software and systems will be beneficial in maintaining accurate employee records and data management.
