| Job Description |
Coca-Cola Beverages Africa is the largest African Coca-Cola bottler, accounting for 40% of all Coca-Cola volumes on the continent. In Uganda, we are currently seeking to recruit a Process Operator, based at our Mbarara Plant.
As a Process Operator, you will report directly to the Team Leader Packaging.
Key Purpose Statement.
The Process Operator is responsible for operating the process area in accordance with work instructions, conducting quality checks, performing first-line autonomous maintenance, and supporting mechanical repairs to ensure safe, stable, and efficient production-line performance. |
| Key Duties & Responsibilities |
- Operate the assigned process area in accordance with approved work instructions and established operating standards.
- Perform required quality inspections and checks in line with quality control and analytical procedures.
- Record production waste in the relevant documentation or information systems, analyze waste trends, and implement timely corrective actions.
- Monitor process performance against established targets.
- Identify and resolve process deviations and operational disruptions, applying approved problem-solving methodologies to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping by applying 5S principles and complying with all safe work practices.
- Conduct machine cleaning, lubrication, and inspection activities in accordance with work instructions and maintenance schedules provided by the Maintenance Planner.
- Perform autonomous maintenance activities in line with established procedures and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Execute breakdown maintenance tasks to ensure timely restoration of equipment functionality.
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the Food Safety Management System (FSMS).
- Report food safety, food defence, and food fraud concerns to the designated Food Safety Team Leader or SHEQ Manager in a timely manner.

| Skills, Experience & Education |
- Minimum requirement: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience.
- MinimumTwo (2) years working relevant experience within an FMCG environment and adequate experience in machine operation.
- Basic mechanical understanding and ability to conduct routine machine care.
- Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and quality testing procedures is desirable.
- Ability to work shifts in a fast-paced production environment.
