About the Role

The Proposal Writing and Fundraising Trainee position at TechBuzz Hub is an exciting opportunity for individuals eager to contribute to the growth of early-stage enterprises in Uganda. This role is pivotal in supporting the mission of TechBuzz Hub, which focuses on startup incubation, coaching, and capacity building. In the first few months, you will engage in hands-on proposal management and technical writing, enhancing your understanding of project design and fundraising strategies. You will become an integral part of a dynamic team dedicated to promoting sustainability and job creation among youth in the region.

Key Responsibilities

• You will manage the proposal writing process, ensuring compliance with guidelines and deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Your role will involve drafting compelling proposals that articulate the problems and gaps in current projects, effectively addressing the needs of various stakeholders.
• Engaging in technical writing, you will prepare detailed documentation for Request For Proposals (RFPs), showcasing the strengths and capabilities of TechBuzz Hub.
• You will identify opportunities that inform project and program design, helping to align community needs with TechBuzz Hub’s mission and objectives.
• In collaboration with the team, you will design monitoring and evaluation tools and frameworks such as logic models and theories of change to track project progress.
• Your communication skills will be put to the test as you liaise with potential partners and stakeholders, presenting proposals and fostering relationships that enhance funding opportunities.

Requirements & Qualifications

• A degree in Business, Communications, or a related field is preferred, demonstrating foundational knowledge necessary for the role.
• Prior experience or coursework in proposal management and proposal writing is desirable, equipping you with essential skills for this position.
• Strong technical writing abilities are crucial, allowing you to effectively communicate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.
• Demonstrated capability in designing monitoring and evaluation frameworks will be beneficial in ensuring project effectiveness and accountability.
• Exceptional attention to detail and time management skills are essential for meeting deadlines and maintaining the quality of proposals.
