About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions, including duties at the Post Office as required, ensuring accuracy and compliance with security protocols.
• Manage stock control effectively, which includes monitoring inventory levels and ensuring shelves are stocked and visually appealing for customers.
• Implement merchandising strategies to enhance product visibility and promote sales, following guidelines set by the management team.
• Prepare food items for customers, adhering to health and safety regulations while ensuring quality standards are met.
• Monitor store operations to confirm that safety protocols and legal requirements are strictly followed at all times.
• Occasionally assume supervisory responsibilities, stepping in to lead the team when necessary and receiving additional compensation for these hours.
• Work independently during lone working shifts, demonstrating confidence and responsibility in managing store operations alone.

Requirements & Qualifications

• A strong commitment to providing excellent customer service and the ability to go the extra mile for customers.
• Flexibility in working hours is essential, as shifts may include early mornings, late nights, and weekends.
• Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not mandatory; a willingness to learn is key.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, physically active environment, managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Must be at least 18 years old to comply with licensing regulations for premises that sell alcohol.
