The African Center of Excellence in Bioinformatics and Data-Intensive Sciences (ACE Uganda) is inviting applications for one (1) internship opportunity supported by the SHEDS Project in partnership with the Institute for Global Health Sciences (IGHS), University of California San Francisco (UCSF).

The selected intern will have the opportunity to participate in practical, data-driven health research projects while gaining valuable hands-on experience and developing professional skills in bioinformatics, data science, and technology-based healthcare solutions.

  • Certified academic transcripts or a stamped testimonial for applicants awaiting graduation.
  • Copy of Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) results.
  • Two recommendation letters from academic referees on official institutional letterhead.
  • A statement of motivation (maximum 1,500 words).
  • An updated Curriculum Vitae (CV) of not more than 3 pages.
